Venture for Canada -- Paid Fellowships for Entrepreneurial Graduates
Venture for Canada is a not-for-profit 2-year Fellowship that recruits, trains and supports recent graduates to work at Canadian startups in need of talent, with the mission of fostering entrepreneurship. Fellows spend two years working at one of our partner startups, where they gain the skills, network and experience necessary to launch their own startups.
For the 2016 Fellowship class, we received nearly 1,700 applications from across the country. The process of being selected as a Fellow is very competitive, and involves a written application, video interview, phone interview, and in-person challenges/interviews at one of two National Fellow Selection Days each year.
Through the program, our partner startups gain access to the talent that they need to take their startups to the next level. Since the program was launched, over 90% of Fellows have been assessed by their employers as meeting or exceeding expectations.
